Here is the class outline:

Module 1: Introduction, Social Entrepreneurship, & Ideation

In this module, students will understand themselves through the power of Ikigai; establish the role of an ecosocially responsible business in society; understand themselves as change-making entrepreneurs; introduce the elements of a business plan and how to approach the process; and introduce the business planning assignment that runs through the course.

Module 2: Industry Analysis, Market Research, Competition and Differentiation

In this module, students will focus on conducting market research and performing a competitive / collaborative analysis. Students will also complete Sections 3 and 7 of the business plan - "Industry" and "Competition" based on their work from this Modules 1 & 2.

Module 3: Vision, Strategy, Legal Structure

In this module, students will develop a mission statement; craft a vision of success and an impactful vision of the future; assess enterprise structures and ownership that might fit their ideas; and understand the business formation process.

Module 6: Products & Customers (part 2)

Module 7: Marketing, Value, & Pricing

Module 8: Operations Plan, Team Management and Accountability

Module 9: Partnerships, Collaboration, and Community

Module 10: Compliance & Risk Management
